The 180 gram vinyl LP is an audiophile's dream as well. Great sounding LP!
If you are interested, the lady on the cover with Herb is Sandra Moss, the wife of Jerry Moss who was the “M” of A & M records. She was also on the cover of “South of The Border” released in 1964.

I bought my first Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass album as an ironic lark...you know, to show my friends how ironically cheesy I could be: the hipster's affliction. But to my surprise, I fell in love with their timeless, honestly positive groove. Their style hails from mariachi, but is so much more progressed; like saying the Beatles were just a rock band. If you are so deeply cynical that you cannot enjoy this sound, you've got real problems.
This would also be ideal for tormenting your overly-dramatic, goth/emo roommate. I did, and it used to drive him crazy.
